The
comic book industry has grown much like the young budding
tree in the garden of world entertainment and communications
mediums. This most tender of trees is about to burst forth
from its youthful slumber and spread its protective branches
over the all of the peoples, nations and cultures of civilization.
Comic
books, the creative cradle of modern society's entertainment
industry, are perhaps the most fitting place to birth such
a monumental event in civilization's evolution, for two
tangible reasons:
1
The overall creative force of the comic book industry,
since its inception, has birthed and defined today's mythology
for modern civilization. Film, literature, television
and the whole of the entertainment industry have acquired
their greatest inspiration from the force which has driven
and defined the comic book industry. Only here at the
root of it all can a whole mythology be birthed and perpetuated
to a measure that it can inspire the rest of the entertainment
industry and thus, civilization at large.
2
In order that such a movement could be nourished and fermented
enough to allow it to gain the popular momentum needed
to stand up against the present hierarchy and socio-political
leadership of the world, it needs to ferment in a relatively
anonymous environment, one that no one serious takes too
seriously. If this was to be attempted within the TV,
film or literature industries, it would be immediately
killed in its embryo stage for fear of it's potential
success within such popular and volatile environments.
The comic book industry, home of the silly and the absurd
could never pose such a threat to the world's powers that
be. The Son of Man, when he returns with great glory,
would never be expected to rise from within such a juvenile
medium and in such a non-orthodox manner as is proposed
here. This is what will catch the world by surprise, long
enough to make it impossible to stop his rise, and with
him raising the entirety of the lowest of industries,
the comic books, to the highest halls of world leadership.
"Many who are first shall be last and many who are
last shall be first."
The
comic book industry serves as one of the most potent powder
keg microphones to the peoples of the world today. Only
through a creative design-science revolution can the comic
book industry become the focus of innovative and creative
guidance for world leaders and enterpeneurs in order to
re-channel the world's resources so as to insure the successful
deliverance of the entire human race from the calamity of
despair which has overtaken our once hopeful stride towards
a greener paradise.
Only
through such a declaratory mission statement can the comic
book industry hope to burst out of its cocoon and spread
its new wings of healing across the horizons of our history
in the making which lay ahead.
Only
through a directive for the salvation of mankind can the
real supeheroes, the comic book writers and artists, begin
to direct a course for the saving of their own world.
