Hillary Clinton isn't simply beginning a campaign for the Presidency of the United States. No, she wants to begin a conversation with the American people.
I'm not just starting a campaign, though, I'm beginning a conversation -- with you, with America. Because we all need to be part of the discussion if we're all going to be part of the solution. And all of us have to be part of the solution.
Let's talk about how to bring the right end to the war in Iraq and to restore respect for America around the world.
How to make us energy independent and free of foreign oil.
How to end the deficits that threaten Social Security and Medicare.
And let's definitely talk about how every American can have quality affordable health care.
You know, after six years of George Bush, it is time to renew the promise of America. Our basic bargain that no matter who you are or where you live, if you work hard and play by the rules, you can build a good life for yourself and your family.

Alright, that's fair. Let's talk about it. As I remember, your husband and yourself were in the White House for eight years, not only six. I actually well remember that campaign and victory which brought a great promise to America, specifically on the issue of affordable health care. It was the flagship issue of the Clinton campaign, as I remember.
Now, I must say that I remain especially fond of those eight Clinton years. It certainly was nice to see a personable man of the people in the White House. The entertainment value of Bubba's Presidency remains incomparable. But I can't for the life of me remember whatever happened to all of your campaign promises. Did President Clinton and his ambitious wife save or improve upon the health care system? Forgive me, but I just can't remember ever hearing about that.
Did Mr. Clinton bring the world closer to resolving regional conflicts? I only ask because as I remember, the worst outbreak of violence recently seen in the Middle East occurred on his watch, as a reaction to his failed attempt to bring Yaser Arafat to agree to the Clinton peace initiative with Israel. Is this how you intend to bring an end to the war in Iraq, Hillary?
Are you saying that you have a plan to release America from its dependence on foreign oil? Because if this is the same type of promise as you once made on the health care system, then I'm afraid you don't need to answer that, really.
The perplexity which George Bush has brought upon the American people will definitely be good for the Democratic Presidential Nominee in 2008. The problem is, and I believe this is at the core of the Clinton administration's inability to effectively resolve issues of concern to the common people, well, the problem is that both the Democratic and Republican parties are subservient to the same economic forces which rule America and the world.
Hillary Clinton has not shown, in any measure, that she has the ability to put aside her own personal interests and wage a political battle for the benefit of the common people. She has made a fortune, as an attorny and public figure, which she nourishes and guards above all else. It is a hypocritical image of concern for the American people which Hillary projects. She's already been in the saddle once, even though next to her husband, and we've seen how ineffective she is at following through on empty political promises.
Unfortunately, many Americans will reflexively support the Democratic Presidential nominee in the upcoming elections. Some will even lament the political suicide of Hillary Clinton by making this move, as has Warren Ellis on his site.
It is all in vain, I'm afraid. I say this because the only way evident to affect true change in the sociopolitical map today is through a wide-scope populist movement that is able to claim a healthy stake of the world's cash flow. Every other enterprise rising through one of the existing system entities will remain beholden to the economic masters who pull its political strings.
We at ReVOLUTION believe that the only true hope for America and the world begins here with the voice of the people we raise. The effectiveness of The Comic Book Creators' Party will ultimately fall upon its ability to gain growing control of the entertainment and communications industries' cash flow by becoming a focus of statesmanship and commercial marketing properties at which root are the comics themselves that it produces.
It is the only way any political promises which hold the benefit of the common people can ultimately be kept.
