Join me this Coming Fri-Sun, with Brendan McGinley, Publisher of Bankkshot Comics, Featuring New Art for the Second Issue of Dose, at his Table in Artists' Alley.

If all goes well, I will be be appearing at the Fri-Sun Big Apple Comics Convention at the Penn Plaza Hotel this coming weekend, as guest of Brendan McGinley, publisher of Bankshot Comics, for whom I've produced a 4 page preview of Party Girl, for an ashcan edition of Dose #2 that he'll display, for the occasion, at his exhibitor table in Artists Alley.
Frequent visitors here might be familiar with Clifford Meth, Daniel Best, Elayne Riggs, Steven Bove and Tim Gasco, all good friends who are also scheduled to attend. It'll be very good to see everyone.
Also amongst the long list of notables attending, it will be nice to catch up with good friends, Alan Weiss and Alan Kuppreberg, not to mention, Bob McCloud, Mark Texeira, Michael Golden, Norm Breyfogle, Rich Buckler, Sergio Aragones, and countless others listed who are too many to mention here. A Jim Steranko seminar promises to be a treat and a fine list of TV and film guests are also lined up, including long time favorites such as Soupy Sales, Walter Koenig, Butch Patrick and many more.
I must give credit here to the comics for playing a part in helping facilitate the renewal of my passport, needed to attend the convention. As the passport requests at the Jerusalem Consulate have risen sharply this last year, and noting that I'd neglected to renew mine for more than a year now, the saving grace of this situation was that a graceful Ms. Jeanette Davis, secretary to the Consulate General, was an ardent DC Comics fan back in her childhood 1970's and knew of my work. Upon seeing the name in my rush request, she cut through the bureaucratic tape and moved mountains to ensure that I have a passport on time for this event. Thank you so kindly, Ms. Davis, and also to the fine and courteous staff you manage.
So, for those who are in the NY area this coming weekend and intend to visit the Big Apple Comics Convention, come by and say hello. Such appearances have been few and far between for me.
