Tony Isabella and I go way back to my first year in comics, 1976, when I drew his script for Green Arrow in World's Finest #245, Slings and Arrows. He went on to create one of DC's more memorable characters, Black Lightning, which I also had the privilege of drawing a couple of stories for, also in World's Finest. We're often in each other's company on a creators' forum, Panel2Panel, where Tony, dubbed our social director, voluntarily spreads birthday wishes and cheer to group members, never missing a beat - as he also does for every comics creator in his database, at his Tony's Online Tips column.
